Hide completed tasks at project opening

Hi there!

Today we're going to introduce a minor tweak, that kept being requested by our users very often. So we obliged. Hope most of you will appreciate!

As a default option, the task list page of an Apollo project has always shown the last 3 completed tasks in each list. This can be useful, in a multi user environment, to let people have a wider outlook of the latest accomplishments.

Hide the tasks mess from your Apollo calendar

Hello friends,

for those of you that really love to put deadlines on all tasks, we added a show/hide switch on the calendar list menu.

This is especially useful in the cases where the account owner set Apollo’s general task visibilty rule so that users see, in their My Tasks and Calendar sections, also the tasks assigned to the company and/or to anybody.

Sort options in My Tasks, Gravatar in HTTPS, API now allows creating projects from templates

Three minor features landed on Apollo in the last few weeks: they are not game changers by any means, but they do improve our beloved program.

The first one, is the possibility to order your tasks by project + task name, and by project + task due date in the My Tasks section:

This kind of grouping is crucial for people who work on several projects and want to be able to divide (by project) and conquer their task list.

An unrelated improvement is that Gravatars (which can be as

Create task by email with Apollo!

Sometimes you need to create tasks "on the fly", without worrying about logging into Apollo, select the right project, and so on.

So, we added the possibility of adding tasks by email in Apollo. That's right: you can now create tasks by simply writing a new email to the right email address.

You can create both personal tasks, and project tasks.

Adding tasks quickly – or, your task inbox

Hi Friends!

Using Apollo makes you feel excited about your projects.

Sometimes, when you create tasks for your project, you are not entirely sure which task list they will belong to. Or maybe none of your existing task lists is the right one. Sometimes, all you want to do is jump on a project and quickly type 4 or 5 quick points, maybe while you are on the phone with your customer.

This is why we implemented a very quick way of adding tasks to Apollo:

As a member of staff at Applicom, I got to use these features well in advance and I just couldn't believe how much they helped me in my day-to-day work. I can see why a lot of users requested them!

So, here are the details.

Don't work lots; work well instead

Some people just seem to get a lot done: some of them might works two jobs, and yet has time for his family and -- yes -- for a social life -- never looking stressed in the meantime. Are they super-humans? No, they are simply people who know that it's not how much you work that counts, but how you do it.

The basic rules are very simple and yet seem so hard to apply:

  • No interruptions
  • No instant messengers
  • No email.
